Our products are used in the field of logistics, the automotive industry and the electronics sector. Our wide range of products in the Business Unit Vacuum Automation includes individual components such as suction cups and vacuum generators as well as complete gripping systems and clamping solutions for holding workpieces.
The current data package with about 20 data contains two of our intelligent vacuum generators from the Schmalz Connect program: The compact terminal SCTSi and the compact ejectors of the SCPM series.
The compact terminal SCTSi is a compact and powerful unit for vacuum generation in automated systems. Via an IO-Link master that can be integrated into the terminal, field devices can be connected via IO-Link and thus communicate directly with the PLC. Digital field devices such as sensors are integrated via digital input modules – without separate I/O modules. It offers the possibility of a bus module for IO-Link or Ethernet and serves as central compressed air and power supply for up to 16 ejectors.
Schmalz's new compact ejector series SCPM is among the smallest and most powerful ejectors on the market. The modular system with three different basic versions and the possibility of manifolding simplifies the selection and offers a wide range of possible applications. The "i" version of the SCPM offers numerous additional functions for monitoring and controlling the entire production process and is therefore ideal for use in the digital factory.

The state-of-the-art vacuum components are quickly integrated into the application environment via interfaces such as IO-Link, Ethernet or NFC. They continually gather and interpret energy and condition data from the process and make it available at the control panel, on the operator's smartphone and in the cloud. Thus a seamless monitoring of the entire process becomes possible, enabling predictive maintenance to prevent downtime and optimize energy consumption.
In order to further expand the range of products on the EPLAN Data Portal, further data packages with Schmalz Connect products are planned.
