EPLAN Platform 2026: Help with the beta testing!

The new EPLAN Platform 2026 simplifies our portfolio, puts your benefits even more strongly in the spotlight and enables you to design your processes to be even more efficient and consistent in the different phases, from concept development to detail engineering and manufacturing, and even through to commissioning and operations.
To achieve this, we fundamentally reworked all of the products in the EPLAN Platform 2026 and added an enormous amount of functionality – for one thing, previously optional extensions such as Elements or expansion modules for our solutions are now included as standard features in the various product expansion upgrades.
Another thing all these EPLAN solutions now have in common is that the cloud-based EPLAN Apps such as the Data Portal, the Parts Manager (eSTOCK), and the File Manager (eMANAGE), are all included as standard in EPLAN Preplanning just as for EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Pro Panel.
For the beta testing, your existing licence will be automatically transferred to the new product structure while also taking into account any extension you may already have.
Even if products and product names have changed, your new license offers functions and services at least to the same extent as you already have. All current basic systems will be transferred to the next higher expansion stage of the new portfolio from version 2026. If basic systems are equipped with Add-on's or Elements, they will usually be transferred to an even higher expansion stage.

The expansion stages of the EPLAN Electric P8 software have been newly defined within the EPLAN Platform 2026 and are now as follows:
- EPLAN Electric P8 Premium
- EPLAN Electric P8 Pro
- EPLAN Electric P8 Advanced
- EPLAN Electric P8 Basic
All the EPLAN Electric P8 expansion stages have one thing in common: the functionality for creating fluid power engineering schematics is now an integral part of Electric P8.
As such, please don’t be surprised if we provide you with a licence for EPLAN Electric P8 instead of an EPLAN Fluid licence moving forward. Along with the functions that you’re familiar with from EPLAN Fluid, your new licence will also include the functionality for creating electrical schematics.
The new EPLAN Electric P8 expansion stages all build on one another and include additional functionality in each respective higher level. For instance, the Electric P8 Pro expansion includes all of the functions found in the Basic and Advanced packages and, along with a variety of different enhancements for cross-team collaboration, also now includes the Schematic Generator (eBUILD).
In Electric P8 Premium, as an example, the functionality package also includes functions for creating mounting panels and control cabinets, all in 3D, and the option of expanding the functional scope of your EPLAN solution with your own software developments with the help of our API programming environment.
All the extensions to EPLAN Pro Panel that were previously only available as options – including the automated routing of connections in 3D, the provision of data for a wide range of automation solutions in manufacturing and the design of flexible power distribution boards in 3D as examples – are now all part of the standard range of services available in EPLAN Pro Panel.
EPLAN Preplanning remains available as a stand-alone system or as an add-on element.
What’s new is that the functions for managing PLC controllers and bus systems are now just as much a part of the program’s overall functionality as defining user rights and the option of creating single-line schematics as part of the project documentation directly in EPLAN Preplanning.
EPLAN Platform 2026 highlights
EPLAN is continuing to focus on the software’s ease of use and efficiency with the upcoming version. Information is collected in one place and useful functions have been added to the most popular products. Direct access to the EPLAN Data Portal from the software makes it possible to use comprehensive data sets without having to change applications. The search for various objects is now also more comprehensive, and EPLAN Pro Panel has been expanded to include useful functions for control cabinet and switchgear system engineering.
